Having complained a bit about AI, I feel like I should mention I do actually use AI. Which, I am not sure it's right, but I'm not sure it's wrong either. Maybe that's motivated reasoning and AI uses are immoral and net negative for the users, project, and world, idk.
I'd like to think I'm not pooping out too much slop but of course maybe everybody thinks "AI is bad for everybody else, but I can avoid the dangers". Definitely 1) never have AI write prose and 2) note honestly whenever AI writes code.
But clearly AI is already quite powerful, and continues to improve. Ask the robot a question, debug some code, even write some code, and you get a fast answer, sometimes even correct, including in domains that for humans would be slow and require knowing or finding a lot of information. Again idk if this is good, but hopefully it's possible to use AI for good!
